Extreme Makeover for Premium .TV prices - new registrars rejoice but most elderly people Will Riot?

Here is the presentation of DN Journal,
updated daily
fill in on the latest buzz going around the domain name industry.

The presentation is compiled by DN Journal editor & Publisher Ron Jackson.

VeriSign blows up .TV - business model prices slashed in domains premium and rejected at standard prices for new registrars renewal rates

VeriSign, which operates the .TV record dropped a bomb during the night - but was a smart bomb, one which must sow dividends for destruction for the record, keyloggers and new registrants .TV (may however be a different story for the registered existing .TV "premium")

(-something we address at a time). As most of you know, .TV domains have been unique (in my opinion, in a bad way) on led terms that the record is considered to be "premium" names hefty price and much worse tags, these same prices had to pay each year when domains emerged for the renewal.

That all changed after midnight last night for people who register domains .TV premium of today (Macrh 19).To begin with, VeriSign slashed prices for each domain of "premium" in its inventory, a change that affected more than 22,000 names. You can download the full list of domains repriced from this page in EnomCentral.com (click on the link entitled "Download .TV Premium list" to the right of the search box).

I think even more important is the decision of the registry to stop loading inflated prices for renewal every year.Instead, any person who registers a name premium on this point pay only the standard renewal rate charged by your domain name registrar not prima .Eso makes the .TV much more attractive proposition for potential investors and developers alike.

Now, I mentioned in paragraph first current .TV premium domain holders may not be so happy about the announcement today, like others because not only those who have registered their names prior to March 19 paid a high price but apparently will continue to be stuck paying the same price and again at the time of renewal.I really don't see how capable of supporting long term that polĂtica.Los early adopters should be rewarded with the same jump at the time of renewal premium buyers who came after them are now receiving.

Demand media VP Chris Sheridan

Surprise if VeriSign cannot extend equal treatment the oldest registrants in a future coming apart of this sticky, wickets I like new VeriSign address with .TV and expected that drive a nice extension.

Chris Sheridan, a VP with Demand Media (parent of one of the largest registrars company of. tv eNom.tv) like demasiado.Dijo than "updated for domains .TV premium pricing structure is a great response to the more customers will significantly be .TV now market, while .TV existing customers will be adding names to its such carteras.Como mercado.esperamos these changes mark an extremely positive step and satisfaction in the right direction for the community. TV."
